Accra-South’s Own Past President Larry Rallies Relief for Volta’s Flooded Hearts
On November 7th, the team from Risk Management and Advisory Services, led by our own PP Larry Kwesi Jiagge, made a heartfelt contribution to the communities hit hardest by the Volta spillage in the southern Volta Region. They visited Anloga, Keta, and Ketu South, not just with relief items but with the spirit of Rotary community service.
Presenting the cash amount to the team, Mr Larry Kwesi Jiagge said, although he did not attend Ketasco, he was impressed with the sterling performance of the Ketasco team. He commended the handlers of the team and urged the great Ketasco Trio to work even harder to achieve greater laurels in life.
With a practical selection of goods that included 300 bags of water, mats for a comfortable rest, gallons of liquid soap, buckets, and pails, the gesture was a direct response to the flood’s challenges. PP Larry, ever the Rotarian, spearheaded this initiative, demonstrating what we’re all about—service above self.
The donations were warmly received by Honourable Dzifa Gomashie of Ketu South, who voiced the communities’ gratitude.
Also in attendance was Mr. W. Seade, the Assembly man for Anyako Konu, who came on behalf of the MP for Keta, and a representative for the MP for Anloga. And, of course, our wonderful staff from the company who proved that when Rotarians come together, magic happens.
Here’s to PP Larry and the team, who remind us all that being a Rotarian means rolling up our sleeves, sometimes quite literally, and doing good in the world.
Now, who’s next to carry the baton of benevolence?
